Weight of 3ft pike?
Wed, 22 Aug 2007 09:47:57 +0100
Hi,
Just a quick question about a pike I caught yesterday.
I caught a pike that was about 3 feet long. As I have no scales, I have no
idea what it might have weighed. Would anyone be able to give a rough
estimate as to its weight?
Andy.

Tying Rigs
Sat, 18 Aug 2007 17:05:33 +0100
I have just tied a few carp rigs for the first time.
There is a big problem with tying hair rigs on all but the largest hooks,
you can't thread the leader through the hook eye twice, there isn't enough
room through the eye.
Can anyone offer guidance please?

Using keepnets
Fri, 10 Aug 2007 23:04:26 +0100
I am still supprised at the amount of keepnets I see in use for pleasure
anglers. I understand the use of keepnets for match fishing but for
pleasure fishing just seems unecessary to me. The amount of large bream I
have seen, during my recent 10 day visit to the Broads, damaged by being
kept in keepnets was ...

Polaris Floats

Hi everyone,
Anyone used the Polaris Floats and if so any comments, specifically for
lighter work as it seems for the more heavy type of fishing. I want to use
it over about 40 yards in 4 to 12 foot of water for tench and bream mainly
but I am sure a few gudgeon and roach will be on the end at some point.

shakespeare Telescopic rod
Mon, 16 Jul 2007 20:53:08 GMT
Anyone got any experience of the Ganza 12 ft Telescopic match rod please.
I have a Diawa Vertice telespin but feel it is too firm an action for
anything but the larger fish like carp and maybe barble but handling a 3 lb
tench made it feel like a lethargic bream so I want to change but still like
the idea of a ...
