How come we don't see flip up lights on cars anymore?
Tue, 20 Oct 2009 15:44:08 +0000 (UTC)
I was just idly musing on this as I watched a porsche 944 drive past earlier.
They were all the rage 20 years ago , even the volvo 480 had then , then
they vanished. Victim of fashion or an unreliable gimmick that should have
been strangled at birth?

Unable to see through a windscreen
Sun, 18 Oct 2009 14:09:16 +0100
On Friday afternoon I was pottering home from work, following an artic,
a van and some forgettable Korean/Czech/Malaysian/Whatever car down a
short length of dual carriageway leading to an industrial estate.
There's a roundabout halfway along where traffic turns right into the
estate and the first exit (straight o ...

Personal meet with BMW driver
Sat, 17 Oct 2009 11:04:25 +0100
Returning home from the beach yesterday on a clear and warm day on an empty
road we were smacked in the rear near side by this driver who was quite
apologetic and who said don't worry about it .
He was leaving the golf club and said he didn't see us when exiting the
entrance to said golf club sheesh.

I'm assuming that they were able to prove that he wasn't actually making a
call at the time by ...
