Choosing a winter jersey

I have a winter jersey - something thicker than a base layer or T-shirt,
but thinner than a civilian sweater. Basically, something i could wear
over a T-shirt while cycling to work this morning and get neither cold nor
sweaty. Also suitable for wearing over a base layer on more serious rides, ...
