A cracked window repair.

On the last trip out, I lifted a double glazed window too far and it
cracked at the hinge. They have those stays where you lift the window
gently and if you release just after it clicks, it stays put. Lift it
quickly and it releases to close. Always worked fine, except on the

Motorway service area night stops.

Hi folks, I am new to this group I have a Freedom Micro lite.
I am intending a trip from North Devon to Invergordon. I intend to make
night stops. Has any one stopped on a motorway service area, I under stand

Cracked window repair tip!

I recently managed to clumsily crack a double glazed window close to
the hinge. The damage cannot be seen and it hasn't affected the seal on
the double glazed panel - it just weakened it along the top by the
hinge, so rather than source a new one, I started looking at a method

New tyres

The tyres on the front of my '98 Mondeo 1.8i are at almost the legal
minimum, rears have almost new treads. I need new ones on the front. Should
I swap the older rears to the front and have the new tyres on the rear?

Hi again,
Picked the van up today without having the wheel bearings replaced.
Drove home but the last 7 miles were very slow, spent 45 mins
covering
2 mile then had a clear run at 50mph until 1 mile from home where I
encounter half a dozen roundabouts and several stops for junctions
etc
so a fiar bit of b ...

Wheel bearing replacement after 5 years?

Hi all,
Just had my 5 year old van serviced, this was the first service for 3
year.
The caravan is an Abbey 520 (2003) and has done no more then 4000
miles absolute max.
Took the van in on Tuesday, due to pick it up tomorrow and got a call
at 17:30 to say sorry Sir might not be ready tomorrow both wheel
