Mastic / Sealant deterioration

The sealant (once white) around the external toilet cassette casing (and the
battery box) has become very grubby from road dirt etc. If it wasnt a white
van it might not be quite so noticable.
Its resistant to the normal wash but I am reluctant to vigourously scrub it
for fear of damaging the seal. Has anyon ...

Thetford Cassette toilet - model C 4020L

My Hobby has this model cassette toilet fitted from new. A very nice
toilet even to havong a wheeled waste compartment which I can trolley
around rather than haved to manhandle it!
Only problem is that there is no sight glass / pipe on the wash water
system as I have found in the past on older systems - this me ...
