dumb questions

I'm very much a newbie to caravanning and have just bought an old van for
use on the odd night away. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but can you
tell me if the fridge, cooker etc will work off ANY gas, with the correct
regulator?
The van has a red gas bottle but no regulator with it so before I buy a
reg ...

I have just recently purchased a CI wilk deluxe caravan, there is no onboard
zig/charging unit like my previous van, instead the previous owner has used
a battery charger to charge the battery.
Am i correct in thinking that when the charger is on that will supply the
