Manual winch
Thu, 9 Apr 2009 12:21:42 -0700 (PDT)
Further to my earlier post, has anyone a suggestion for a good manual
winch that wouldn't cost the
earth but has adequate strength and cable length? I'm thinking in
terms of helping manoevre in my drive, but also as a backup aid to
help pull the caravan out of the quiet but often muddy and sloping
fields we tend ...

Maplin Power Winch
Thu, 9 Apr 2009 05:06:31 -0700 (PDT)
Has anyone been tempted by the ¡ê10 reduction that Maplin are offering
on their power winch?
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=223167
Are they any good? Or I suppose, for the few times one's likely to
use it (I'm thinking of getting out of a muddy field when no 4 x 4 to

Caravan Club Availability Easter Weekend
Tue, 07 Apr 2009 15:44:18 GMT

plenty of availability over the Easter weekend this year - unlike 2007, the
last time Easter fell in April.
Of course they have not done themselves any favours in ...

Acrylic awning repair?
Mon, 06 Apr 2009 21:11:17 +0100
Our acrylic awning roof was split by a sudden storm last year, just by
the awning rail. The split is about 9" long - I have matching material
on the way and I'm quite capable of stitching it up, but is it usual to
use some sort of glue under the patch repair?
Cheers..

cleaning water system
Sun, 5 Apr 2009 23:11:22 +0100
Is it safe to flush out the fresh water system in the van with milton
fluid? I've done the barrel but not sure if it will taint the hoses or not.
Planning on filling aquaroll with diluted Milton fluid and pumping it
through.
Thanks in advance Glenn

My Bailey caravan has 2 red lights at the rear at approx. eye level, not lit

No screw fixings for these red covers which are about 3" square.
Any ideas on how to remove?

Speed Sticker?
Fri, 3 Apr 2009 11:41:24 +0100
I've noted today washing my caravan that it does not have a 60 sticker, do
not think it had at new.
Are they no longer fitted?
Also noted visiting caravans from EU do not have country stickers on.
