Street Crime UK - PACE
Fri, 15 Aug 2008 15:35:05 +0100
Just watching Street Crime UK, and noticed an officer threaten to
arrest a guy for swearing. Fair enough. The lad then refuses to
identify himself, and is arrested. However, the officer simply says
"You're under arrest" before 3-4 officers converge on him to bundle
him into the van. He is never given the proper ca ...

New builds - builders delaying
Thu, 14 Aug 2008 16:40:05 +0100
This is not an issue for me personally, but I keep coming across people who
have paid a deposit to buy a new-build but the builders keep delaying
actually building the property. From the builder's point of view, say this
is a block of 20 flats and they have sold 2, they clearly don't want to
finish the block i ...

Hi,
I have been trawling this forum trying to work out where I stand but
there seem to be a few issues that I can't work out. Yesterday I tried
to buy a new TV from redstore.com at what I thought was a bargain, a
57" TV for only ¡ê240 quid. Now before you say how obvious the mistake
was, I couldn't have been sur ...

I'm on the management committee of a tiny charity that employs 1 full
time and three part time workers, plus numerous volunteers. Their

service user's offspring as needed.
The charity rents a Victorian terrace, complete with basement and ...

Claming costs against local authority
Wed, 13 Aug 2008 08:40:15 +0100
I have recently won a case against my Local Authority at a Valuation
Tribunal after they ruled that Council Tax sought by my LA was not
lawfully due. The case had caused me much hassle and I had to take two
days off work to self-represent myself on two separate occasions
(apart from travel expenses).
Can I begi ...

Builder problems
Mon, 11 Aug 2008 12:10:08 +0100
Hi,
I am end the end of my tether with my problems with my builder.
I shall try to summarise as concisely as possible.
He was recommended to me by someone I trust - he had done a lot of work
for him and he came across very professional and personable so I hired
him.
A lot of communication was done over ...
