MRSA spreads at alarming rate in Finland
Tue, 26 Aug 2008 09:37:55 +0100
Pat's Note: This news is consistent with the Gardiner Hypothesis that
MRSA (especially st398) is linked to pig production and mutated PMWS
and the excessive use of antibiotics used to keep the pigs alive.

C. Diff - bad publicity for Britain
Sun, 24 Aug 2008 22:56:43 +0100
Pat's Note: Not a specially important or unusual report, but once
again a US one that specifically gives prominent mention to Britain's
problems with superbugs.
People abroad notice Britain's problems and they know that superbugs
have connections to livestock.
And the inevitable international investigations w ...

What does this make?
Sat, 23 Aug 2008 11:54:26 +0100
Found a recipe in a leather case which housed an old surveyers tape and
wondered what the resulting mix was for.
The ingredients were:
Brimstone
Train oil
Turpentine.
Anybody know what it is for?
Cheers
Jane

MRSA - Pigs - 853 mentions on Google in the last 24 hours
Fri, 22 Aug 2008 18:28:45 +0100
854 now I suppose.
The pressure is mounting on Britain's quite extraordinary decision not
to start testing British pigs for MRSA until ordered to so in January
by the EU.
...and their continued refusal to release any results.
They will have to release believable results in the end

Sloes
22 Aug 2008 17:27:16 GMT
One of my daughters that makes wine arrived today looking for sloes, so I
get her up on the quad and we went to the blackthorns. Very few sloes,
not enough to gather, possibly the bushes are overgrown. Then I started to
look at the other trees, a lot of the elderberries are eaten, unripe. Must
check the beechmast ...

64% of all farm antibiotic use is in pigs,
Thu, 21 Aug 2008 23:30:34 +0100
Pat's Note: And the government still refuses to release the results of
testing Britain's pigs for MRSA?
They are still stuffing the pigs with antibiotics to keep them alive
long enough to get them into the food chain after NINE years
The pigs are sick and have been sick since 1999. When the public
catches up ...
