MK4 golf coolant temp display

mk4 golf 1.6 8v se AEH 1999
I had the common temperature guage not working properly syndrome which I
bought a new guage from ecp and fitted fine. A week later the problem is
back.
What might be causing this ?
I did buy the sensor form Eurocarparts and have no reason to doubt there
quality as I buy stuff ...

I'm changing my wishbones on my mk4 golf and te bolt torque settings are
between 30/70 nm and have mis placed the sodding torque wrench, do you
reckon if I do them up really tight on the socket it should be fine ?
Also do you need to get the tracking done after changing wishbones ? ...

My girlfriend's Golf is having a bit of starting trouble. Basically, the
starter will spin the engine fairly well, up to about 400 revs or so, which
if I recall correctly, is about right for a starter. However, the engine
doesn't catch. Give it a welly full of throttle, and it'll fire and then bog
down again a ...

If anyone by any chance has etka could you double check what the size of
the ARB bush is for a mk4 golf 1.6 16v 2001 engine azd.
I'm getting conflicting advce on this one so would appreciate if someone
could check it out for me please. *THUMBS UP* ...

mk4 golf wishbone bushes front and rear

There is this very noticeable knock sound when I brake at a slower speed
or when reversing then braking. I am pure guessing this is the wishbone
bushes ? or the anti-roll bar bushes.
Is there anyway to find out which is worn and needs replacing.
Anyone done this job on a mk4 golf 1.6 16v 01 model.

DIY refurbishing steel wheels

Going to need new tyres all round soon and my mk2 Golf steel wheels
are looking a bit manky, with small bits of corrision. Is it possible
to refurbish them myself? It doesnt need to be 100% perfect as the car
is old now and worth very little. ...

I have been getting and error code (forgot the code at work) that says
engine running too lean on bank 1.
What exactly is the problem ?
From googling I was told its a knackered lambda or a knackered maf ? ... or
am I barking up the wrong tree.

Golf Mk 4 Windscreen washer jets

Anyone out there have any dealings with cleaning these windscreen washer
jets out? They must have some sort of crap in them, because only today
drivers side working fine passenger side ok ish.......Then all change, there
is no consistency, changing like the wind. lol
Not quite the same as putting a pin in ...

Leaking after air con use

Never owned a car with air con before, and quite a niuce extra I might add.
I was using it today for about 90 mins and when I parked up I noticed a leak
in the direction I had reversed so looked under my car form the front and to
the right side (nearest the curb) there was a constant leak ...
