Quick question....still having some teething problems with my 72 1302
beeetle.
Initially, the battery would not charge above 11V making starting very
difficult, this has been fixed and now it starts fine.

1302 bug running fine .Tried to start later no go
all I get is a quietish click,( think it is the ignition) not the usual
clunk that I've had with other cars,that i would expect from a starter.
the battery is ok readin about 13v
Is this a solenoid prob and how do i chec ...

i have just lowered my 68 ghia coupe 4" it looks great. the only problem
is the rear tyres rub on the arches when i hit bumps. can anyone
recommend a tyre size to help ease the problem. i'm using stock wheels
and the current tyre size is 195/65/15 ...
