Washer pump went on my 106 a while back.
Replaced it with one from a breakers yard. They originally tried to
charge me more than a new one but thats another story.
The new (to me) one conked out in the recent wet weather here in NE

UK / Import - don't care, they're all imports really.
We're in the damp bit in the middle of Scotland so Bodmin and Benfleet are
probably not places we would specifically choose to go for one.
Anywhere down to about Manchester I would guess. Any further than that and
they start talki ...

3 or 4 times in the last few weeks now I've come to start my car up and been
engulfed in clouds of blue smoke.
It lasts 15-20 seconds then disappears, it's usually fine and smoke-free,
but this has come on pretty quickly. There's been no leading up to it with
it just slightly smoking, it's pretty bleeding smoke ...

Insurance cost for custom mods on a Ford Focus?

Am looking to buy a used Ford Focus for about ¡ê3,000 to ¡ê4,000 to
use as a runabout. Most important is cost and reliability.
I've seen a few nice custom Focuses in owner's forums and the price
isn't about the same as a standard car. (I don't actually want
custom mods but may as well have them.)
