Importing from US, advice required

I'm off to the US later this year. I'd like to buy a US classic car and
bring it back to the UK.
I understand SVA is waived for pre 1973 cars?
Has anyone out there done it and if so how difficult is it?
I'd probably be aiming for an early 1970's Ford Mustang

speedo conversions?

does anyone know if it is actualy a legal requirment that your speedo
must read in mph rather than kmh. I have not been able to get a
straight answer anywhere. The car doesnt need an sva as it is over ten
years old and it doesnt need to have a mph speedo for the mot but am i
breaking the law if the speedo only ...

Hi- I need to have a rear plate made but have a question.I have a plate
holder that has a light behind it would the light shine
though the standard plates.I know the TVR plate lets light though but that's
