Why should my 1598cc be taxed?

Maybe this has be done to death here but I am still amazed that the
f"%!ing gv't can lump my 1598cc 4cyl petrol Suzuki in with all the
bastard/f-off Cayennes/X5's etc
I return upwards of 35mpg around town and actually need a 4x4 as am in
the country and have a drive like the North face of the Eiger...

I'm moving to a pretty remote part of the countryside and need a 4 x 4
to get around. Here's what I'll need:
1. Able to pull a trailer with a 1000kg load (1,000 litre water
container)
2. Able to pull a small caravan (the old wooden 70s ones - pretty
light)
3. Climbing / descending dirt tracks, snow, p ...

Rotor Arm Failing

After 30+ years of driving and never had a rotor arm fail, I've had 3 fail
in the last 18 months, the last one on Saturday (when it was hot) having
only managed about 200 miles. It's in an old 1960 British car with a Lucas
