CSS + xhtml static site - going dynamic?

Having got a site up and running against a deadline, using the tried and
tested CSS + xhtml static route, we're now growing fast and, as we always
knew, about to outgrow this approach quite soon. We plan to go with
PHP/MySQL. So far, so good. Our hosting provider already has the apps in
place.

Is IE really still broken on margin:auto for centering and block
element?

I know IE used not to understand "width=xxx margin=auto" for centering a
block and you had to fudge it with "text-align:center" in an outer
block, with "text-align: left" on the inner block if you didn't want the
contents centred....but I thouigh MS had fixed that long ago, yet today

IE border madness

Here's a new one on me. I have:
* a nested unordered list
* no vertical margin between list items
In every browser except IE it renders as it should.
In IE, between list items at the same nesting level, it adds some
vertical white space.

isnt going to have .
