invisible watermarking
Thu, 5 Mar 2009 04:46:47 -0800 (PST)
I've developed a tool for invisible watermarking. The name is
SignMyImage and you can find it at www.adptools.com/signmyimage
Moreover I employ a web crawler, that is able to trace the image on
internet. Its much cheaper replacement of well known digimarc. ...

Many thanks to everyone. www.parrotaid.co.uk & .org.ok succesfully registered
Thu, 05 Mar 2009 06:23:24 +0000
OK, I guess you guys do it daily so it's no big deal for you, but
you've been very helpful in helping me understand what needs to be
done.
It's registered with 123-reg and we'll probably use them for hosting
until we know better!
Of course, I suppose I could have just clicked the first "buy now"
button I ...

registering a domain <-- argh! Too many questions!
Wed, 04 Mar 2009 18:17:52 +0000
What about renewal?
Can a registrar gouge you when it comes to renewal? E.g. charge a
cheap ¡ê4.99 or whatever for two years and then ¡ê49.99 for the next two
years when you come to renew having made the website an integral part
of your (charitable) activity?
Thanks for helping a newbie - in my turn I'm helpi ...

Getting a 'parked' .co.uk website for a UK Ltd co of the same name
Tue, 03 Mar 2009 19:00:21 +0000
There is a 'parked' .co.uk website registered to an company in Turkey
which would be interesting to a recently incorporated UK Ltd company
of the same name.
The single page has a few related links to other sites and a 'this

Recovering a domain name (and hosting)
Tue, 03 Mar 2009 14:03:10 +0000
This is, I am sure, an old story...
I have been asked to help someone whose web site author has
disappeared. There is no animosity between the parties -- the guy has
simply become un-contactable for no known reason.
Now, the domain (a .co.uk) name was taken out in the designer's name.
The hosting, too, is in ...

A colleague has developed a site for me which runs in Joomla and has a
separate property listings module installed. The output from the property
search file is displayed with the addition of a pipe "|" at the end of each
statement, and we can't work out how to remove it, as the javascript code
which handles the ou ...

Windows WYSIWYG web authoring clients supporting ssh
Sun, 01 Mar 2009 12:35:59 +0000
Are there any decent & free windows web authoring tools, which can
connect via SSH to a unix based webserver?
My Google searches have not found anything, but perhaps I'm overlooking
some. Most seem to be stuck with ftp, which I thought was pretty much
dying now - and for good reason.

Wordpress; posting on added pages
Sat, 28 Feb 2009 20:06:43 -0000
My client wants to split her posts over several pages, with links in the nav
bar (one for each category). I thought this would be standard but when I
went to work on it and found the 'pages in a nutshell' statement it was a
big spanner.
* Pages are not Posts, nor are they excerpted from larger works of fictio ...
