Can I restrict only html files to authorised valid users, but allow
images in a sub-directory to be viewed by anyone? If so, could some kind
htaccess wizard post the code I'd need to put in my .htaccess file? ...

I've set up an adsense account just moments ago and read though the guides &
notes. Is there anything not in the manual that I should be aware of for
benefit or beware?
Out of interest, how much control do you truly have over the styling of the
ads?
Google show you can choose colours for fonts/borders etc on ...

preloading and cache

To solve a previous problem posted here about 're-rendering' I've had to put
a pre-load script of the same large background image on every page, even
though it is cached.
When the browser sees the pre-load, does it take that as an instruction to
download _again_ or does it check the cache first and use that? ...

Has anyone managed to get a Huawei 169G working with Three on Ubuntu?
It's driving me nuts! I've asked in alt.os.linux.ubuntu but I get the
same things as I've already tried.
