Forum Systems     Thu, 07 Jun 2007 19:42:52 +0100
Hi all Does anyone know if there are companies out there that specialise in hosting forum systems as a sort of standalone service. I'm fed up of my server being attacked where clients have phpBB and the like and I'm going to ban it. But I want to offer an alternative, the most likely of which is someone who d ...

* html>body in IE7?     Thu, 31 May 2007 15:53:21 +0100
Using * html>body selectors in CSS is useful for working around IE5 Macintosh bugs (all versions of IE think that * html selects something, but only Mac IE5 understood descendant selectors). I presume IE7 understands descendant selectors, but does it still think that * html selects <html>? Daniele ...

professional indemnity     Thu, 24 May 2007 10:43:28 +0100
I've had to sign a contract for one client (a university) and in it they ask for professional indemnity insurance. I've been quoted ¡ê420 as a minimum. Seems excessive, I'm not building bridges. Anyone know where I can get a better deal? -- Geoff Berrow 0110001001101100010000000110 001101101011011001000110 ...

Handwriting fonts     Thu, 7 Jun 2007 11:40:03 +0100
I'm after a font family for handwriting script style but I've got so many font's on my machines I've no idea which are even the common windows ones. I think Monotype Corsiva might be one...? There is no basic generic font class for this style so does anybody have a family list of handwriting script style fonts ...

differences between frontpage 2000 and 2003??     Wed, 23 May 2007 23:50:19 +0100
As header, I have Frontpage 2000 but not 2003. Is there much difference? Is it worth upgrading? And yes of course I'm a beginner, but eager to learn. :) -- Paul reply-to is valid ...

Looking for a simple PHP script     Wed, 6 Jun 2007 13:43:15 +0100
I've been using the very straightforward mailit.php script to hand;e form mail submissions, but for reasons which I don't understands, Microsoft Exchange refuses to process the incoming mails from the web site. We think it's because the submission email doesn't have a sender's email address (it's just blank), ...

form abuse     Wed, 23 May 2007 09:20:15 +0100
I'm getting fed up with script kiddies and other assorted morons abusing formmail scripts to send stupid spam messages. One idiot is even regularly spamming a form that has only one input: email address! How stupid is that? The effing imbecile is using a bot to send me a fake email address and nothing else! ...

Can't access website through domain name     Tue, 29 May 2007 08:24:53 +0100
Apologies if this isn't the right forum and this is probably a dumb question but I'm new to this running a website stuff. My website domain address (www.troontortoises.org.uk) is registered through 123reg. For the last couple of days I haven't been able to access it through that link (which redirects to ht ...
