I should like to run video clips occasionally and I'd like suggestions
on what HTML code to use, please.

preloading and cache

To solve a previous problem posted here about 're-rendering' I've had to put
a pre-load script of the same large background image on every page, even
though it is cached.
When the browser sees the pre-load, does it take that as an instruction to
download _again_ or does it check the cache first and use that? ...

Has anyone managed to get a Huawei 169G working with Three on Ubuntu?
It's driving me nuts! I've asked in alt.os.linux.ubuntu but I get the
same things as I've already tried.

guestbook - learnt from mistakes

If you browse the guestbook entrys - you will see that some entrys are
hidden from view to the public because they are abusive .
Obviously - its a bit pointless even showing the hidden entry .
A much better way of doing it would be to have a different numbering
sy ...

As part of the usual measures to try and prevent multiple votes .
I added a timer so that only one vote (every 3 minutes) regardless if
its the same user or not will be accepted .
The thinking being that unless its a really busy website - then most
people wont know t ...

I have not got hold of, or even chosen a CMS yet, but you will see from my
last post that I am assuming that the best way for the client and the system
to start a new aligned image + text block would be a table.

Apparently some bloke from 'The Cure' (producer I think) is a bit paranoid
regarding anything about them online and wants to see it before going live.

T-mobile users unable to access my site

I have recently heard from two T-mobile users that they cannot access my
website, even when they use the link in my signature (below). They just get
the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message.
One of them suggested that maybe T-mobile doesn't like the hyphen. Does
anyone know if this is the an ...
