AAISP ADSL on BT Business line?

My employer used to provide BT 2mbps ADSL to us free of charge. They are
ceasing this, which is how I arrived here. Many people are considering
staying with BT. Some of them have both a private BT line and a business
BT line. BT are telling us:

21CN usage (and 20CN usage for that matter) seems quite high today. We
are not sure if this is something about today or what. Occasionally
there is some event or some new s/w load or update that causes a big
spike in usage. We try to allow enough bandwidth for these events ...

The current Usenet access (which is provided by Gradwell) will be shut
down on August 14th.
We are still planning to run our own Usenet server, but until this is
available customers will need to find alternative access. There is a
list of public Usenet servers at:

We will be doing some maintenance on one of our email servers on
Tuesday 4th August. There are other servers in the 'pool' so this work

placing orders and on BT installing circuits means that only today do
we have our first Ethernet service customer on-line.

Customers on the Basingstoke exchange have been experiencing problems
recently - packet loss, and slow connections. This has (eventually)
been tracked down to a back haul capacity problem from the exchange to
