ADSL2+ trialists lines being install and should see them working very
soon. We have the new gigabit links to BT ready for the ADSL2+ trials.

Slightly ot: Hosting providers

Sorry for the off-topic post. Just thought someone in here may know
of a solution.
I am looking into a dedicated hosting provider to host around 10 low
to medium use websites. We want a dedicated server for this, and not
a VPS or other solution.

that, far from the cheaper wholesale broadband prices we have been led to
believe we will get from BT, they are set to be INCREASED so that we will be
paying even mode for BT's inefficiency, management bonuses and out of date

New fault reporting

Just an update on the new way we pass faults in to BT.
We have been using this for over a month now, and it is proving very
useful. We are constantly fine tuning our systems, and adding more
automated "retests" to the system so that we can test and return faults
to BT 2 ...

Card Payments

We currently accept payment for both goods and ongoing services by
credit or debit card.
Now that we handle Direct Debits, and now that the UK banking industry
have just launched Faster Payments we are planning to phase out credit
and debit cards acceptance at some time ...

The UK banking industry has launched new Faster Payments allowing
payments to be sent immediately even between banks. The new system is
being phased in over the coming weeks by the major banks. Payments
usually arrive within minutes but can take several hours.

New phone lines have been ordered for a number of trialists now - we

Same story as before - Large increase in latency from around 15:40

Arrived back this afternoon and found thin blue line on usage graph now
a big fat one.
This amounts to around 15 - 20ms so double normal. Maybe same cause as
before, user equipment?
I've had red blips of packet loss seeming to be around same time on
different days but not corresponding to any activity her ...
