Update #1: 2009-08-19 07:33 BST
We are talking to Be tomorrow.
We have many technical, operational and commercial questions to go
through.
If the talks go well we see not reason that we would not be proceeding
with a Be link and offering an alternative to Be within wee ...

Update #1: 2009-08-18 15:58 BST
All 20CN lines on Milton Keynes dropped at 15:21 and reconnected.
This sort of thing is not unheard of in 20CN, so it may not be related
to IPStream Connect, but is being investigated anyway just in case.[IMAGE]

My neighbour's broadband! - a bit long
Tue, 18 Aug 2009 14:37:21 +0100
Not sure if this is right place to ask but worth a try.
I am with AAISP on 21CN/adsl2+ line and get a pretty reliable
connection, my BRAS rate is currently 11000Kb/s, my synch is
13450Kb/s, my download speedtest with sod.ms shows as 10.855411Mb/s
this morning, but not usually quite that high.
My next door ne ...

Update #1: 2009-08-18 13:11 BST
As we have moved lots of people over to the new LNS now, you will see
you have new graphs which we have used for 21CN for some time.
They are slightly different to what you have been used to but the same
principle.
The main changes are t ...

Another unscheduled BT outage at midnight?
Tue, 18 Aug 2009 11:09:58 +0100
My login went off almost exactly at midnight (ADSL sync not lost, at least not
all the time), and according to my logs came back up just before 02:30. My
AAISP log shows repeated attempts to login over this period every few seconds
so presumably this means I was connected to the net as far as the ISP, just
una ...

Update #1: 2009-08-18 10:30 BST
Some 20CN lines are showing a problem where they went off either at 4pm
(when BT bumped the line) or 6pm (when we cleared the line) or even
midnight (for no apparent reason) and not coming on.
These cases have the line in sync but not abl ...

ADSL Ethernet Modem Recommendations?
Tue, 18 Aug 2009 09:50:09 +0100
Hi,
As a precursor to a dual-WAN setup, I'd like to ditch my ADSL Router, so
that I can run the PPP session directly from the firewall (pfSense). I
have a BT 20CN connection to AAISP.
So I'm looking for an ADSL Ethernet Modem that will work in bridge mode:
so that the external ADSL IP terminates on the fi ...

Update #1: 2009-08-17 18:27 BST
The last session has ceased on our BT Central links, after over 9 years
they finally stand idle. All of our customers are now routed via the
new gigabit links in to BT's 21CN network.
We have reports of people saying they have lower laten ...

[Status] [Update #1] [info[ BT jumping the gun
Mon, 17 Aug 2009 16:26:09 +0100
Posted at 2009-08-17 16:25 BST by AAISP
Update #1: 2009-08-17 16:26 BST
BT just cleared half the 20CN lines forcing to new IPSC links, without
warning and not as per the agreed schedule.
We are not amused. Lines are, of course, coming straight back on line
on the IPStream link.
This is not as planned. Sorr ...
