I was affected, rebooted my router, but that didn't help initially. So I
called AAISP.
By the time my call was answered, my router had connected, but it's in
the adjacent room, so I didn't know that.
Is the AAISP's automatic telephone answering system clever enough to get

This appears to be the same as yesterday which suggests it is not a
hardware issue after all but something in the code. Lines have switched
to the other LNS and now both are back up. We are investigating. This
is code that has been running ...

BE lines and BT lines have very different settings. This means that
customers switching to BE (and there are quite a few right now for some
strange reason) have to wait for the line to go off, and then change
settings to reconnect.

good support for a "routed" network, i.e. one consisting of public IP

We now have an interface in to BT that can clear a PPP session when
stuck.
Obviously we are pushing the whole issue of why sessions get stuck in
the first place.

In total we believe there were 7 separate major outages on BT today
that affected us. Most were only a few minutes while one, affecting 159
lines, was 7 hours.

My service has been steadliy downhill since I was *upgraded* to 21CN
and ADSL2+.
For years I have had a Zyxel 660R-61C - Which does not play ball with
ADSL2+. On 20CN I used to sync around 7-8M and it would stay up for
