xmltv and Vista

I hope this question is relevant to this group! Apologies if not.
I'm trying to run xmltv.exe in Vista. When I run (as Administrator) 'xmltv
tv_grab_uk_rt --configure' I get the following error:
Timezone is +0000
XMLTV::Supplement: Failed to fetch

Tivo to Vplus

Hi all,
Any thoughts / comments on moving from Tivo to Vplus (or Virgin +).
Particularly thoughts around stability, usability etc. I've seen other PVRs
where people have to re-boot at least once a week. My Tivo just keeps going
without any problems - never crashes.

I have several remotes for a number of different bits of AV kit of
various vintage.. is there a single remote that can cope nicely with all
of it?
I've tried loads of cheaper 'universal' remotes but they all seem to
cover *almost* everything, but not enough to retire all the others.

Capturing video from xbox 360

I currently have a usb video capture device - it captures through composite
cables from the xbox but there's a problem with it when a game is PAL-60 -
it displays it in black and white and a bit fuzzy - it will only do PAL-50.
What's the best thing to use to capture straight from the xbox in PAL-60

I have heard differing reports that you can set it up so that it will
control your Sky digibox (I have an old Panasonic VCR that does this).
Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I just installed a new rental topfield PVR8500.
Having done a service scan, I became very worried that I had no signal
(screen showed "no signal at Tuner 1)
I checked the aerial connection, and also noted that my TV,
on the aerial feed-through was fine.

I read on Tivo community yesterday that if you put in the IR code for
Grundig 20016 - this will turn the sky box on before changing the channel.
