Humax PVR-9200T bargain?
Mon, 03 Dec 2007 18:47:13 GMT
I was in Curry's at the weekend, not normally somewhere I shop, but I
happened to park very close when visiting a nearby shop.
I spotted that they had a Humax PVR-9200T on offer at ¡ê180.
I wasn't sure how good an offer this was, as I hadn't previously looked
on the web.
I spoke to the salesman and quite quick ...

Humax PVR-8000T strange behaviour
Mon, 03 Dec 2007 18:33:58 GMT
This all happened a few weeks ago.
I had a recording which I was ready to view. I pressed "play" to start
it and then fast-forward to skip the adverts. After a few seconds the
picture froze and the box didn't respond to the remote control. After
another 20 or 30 seconds there was an error message and the box ...

Using Topfield TF5800 without a remote
Sun, 18 Nov 2007 19:32:57 -0000

I hope this question is relevant to this group! Apologies if not.
I'm trying to run xmltv.exe in Vista. When I run (as Administrator) 'xmltv
tv_grab_uk_rt --configure' I get the following error:
Timezone is +0000
XMLTV::Supplement: Failed to fetch

Tivo to Vplus
Sun, 04 Nov 2007 22:25:10 GMT
Hi all,
Any thoughts / comments on moving from Tivo to Vplus (or Virgin +).
Particularly thoughts around stability, usability etc. I've seen other PVRs
where people have to re-boot at least once a week. My Tivo just keeps going
without any problems - never crashes.
Cheers,
Colin

Recommended remote for a complicatedish system
Sat, 03 Nov 2007 22:07:51 GMT
Hi,
I have several remotes for a number of different bits of AV kit of
various vintage.. is there a single remote that can cope nicely with all
of it?
I've tried loads of cheaper 'universal' remotes but they all seem to
cover *almost* everything, but not enough to retire all the others.
What I've got:
