Topfield mods

I have had a Topfield 5800 since Christmas. I have had to open it up and
make some mods due to some minor issues. I would like to share my experience
in case it may be useful to others. Be aware that such mods will invalidate
your warranty.

Just bought my Toppy today (Nice but it's no Tivo).
I can't find out how to just search for a programme. You'd think it
would be in the manual, but it's not. I've installed the Mystuff TAP,
and that also doesn't mention much about a basic search.

Extracting files from a PVR HD

I own a Humax PVR 9200 from which in the past I have successfully extracted
the.TS files via the USB socket to make DVDs.
I've recently purchased a very cheap (¡ê50.00) Digifusion PVR for my den. The
only problem with this is that it lacks any device for allowing the

Problems recording with Digihome recorder

I have recently installed an Argos Digihome recorder. Previously using
just a Digi box the TV used to receive Freeview perfectly.
Now with the Digihome recorder it still receives Freeview perfectly
