Freesat from Sky

Does anyone know for sure if the cards issued by Sky specifically for
Freesat from Sky are paired to the receiver or can they be used in a new
receiver without ringing Sky?

New Card Announcements

popup saying the new viewing card was coming soon!, three times actually in
an hour, before letting me alone for the evening. Let's hope the Royal Mail
as such does better in getting it to us before they all do a power play for
more mone ...

Sky Sub on existing box

Someone I know wants to take out a Sky subscription (Sports plus non premium
channels) on their existing Sky box (Pace 10 year old 2200). It's been used
for the last five years with an FTV card.
How easy is it these days to persuade Sky to provide just the card ? I can't
see any mention of the option on their ...

Can I use PC powered Speakers (sub + 2 speakers - 2.1) on a TV that features
audio out?
I know the PC speakers will have a single multi connector whilst TV has L&R,
so presumably an adapter exists to 'split'
...

No new sky card and killed my box/card

Well this is a bit harsh. I've been getting a warning message on my
screen about updating but no new card has come. Today my packages
stopped and the card had aparantly been "killed" the lady said. :-/
she said she'd order me a new card, but she couldn't re-activate my card.

Sky satellites

Have they been messing around with some satellite positions recently?
I believe there are approx 4 currently
I have difficulty in receiving some channels but the majority are OK .
It may be that my dish has moved but it only happened 2 days ago, and
there was no wind here and I don't want to mess with it if they ...
