Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD70 Remote Code

I don't seem to be able to operate my Viera with the Sky+ remote. I've
carefully followed the instructions, and I can see that for some "cycles"
attempting to standby elicits a response from the TV, judging by the LED
on the front, so I can see it's trying.

In Larnaka Cyprus with a 1.5m dish it was possible to receive Channel Five
until about August 2007, when it disappeared, presumable due to a TXP
change. I have just noticed it is back. Very good news!

Noise level of Sky+ Box

Does anyone know if different makes of box have different levels of noise
(i.e. from inside the box, hard drive spinning etc.)
I've just had an additional box fitted in my bedroom (Pace, 80GB) and the
noise coming from it is a pain, and is making it more difficult to get to
