Sky+ ticking noise

I have a Thomson Sky+ digibox (installed August 2007). We have noticed a
ticking noise over the past few months but originally thought it was the
central heating. However today I heard the noise again and the central

Multi room rf2 option

I was contemplating getting multi room and was googling and came across
a site thast says you can enable rf2 feature and run a cable to other tv
set ?
Is this truse or a bogus claim.
I've been contemplating it for a while getting multi room and sky have
offered it to me for 3 months free, which I'm tempted ...

HD recordings go sluggish

I tried to watch Battlestar Galactica on Sky HD tonight while it was
recording. As I tuned in late I rewound into the buffer but found it
extremely jerky, sound almost absent but with a few momentary bursts.
Further investigation showed that all recordings of HD programmes did
the same, whether in the planner ...

Sky+ hard drive advice needed

Had standard Sky Digital for about 8 years but about eleven days ago we
upgraded to Sky+
We have a couple of Philips DVD/Hard Drive recorders in the house that use
the Gemstar GUIDE Plus+ EPG, and the data for that is carried on British
Eurosport (Sky channel 410) and the recorders update their EPG's overnigh ...

No, I'm not associated with that company in any way.
I noticed that the people installing a satellite system in the local
community centre has used an 8 port LNB - but has 3 unused outlets just
left bare.
I would have expected them to be taped water-tight - but sho ...
