Aerial right way up, no better
02 Aug 2008 19:53:36 GMT
You may remember my recent query about an aerial that had appeared to
deteriorate. Well I have 'fixed' everything about it, it has all F
connectors (where there are any) on the way down, it has better co-ax
for the couple of bits that weren't good quality, it's now the right
way up and I have cleaned up the balun ...

LG LCD looses freeview settings
Sat, 2 Aug 2008 12:51:43 +0100
Hi
A few weeks ago my mum got an LG LCD DVB-T TV, a 19LS4D I think.
It set up fine, but since then it has lost its settings a couple of
times, needing a re-tune.
Has anyone else come across this problem?

ITV bit rates (DTT v Freesat)
Fri, 01 Aug 2008 19:04:50 +0100
Is there any particular reason to why the bit rate of ITV1 is lower on
satellite compared to Freeview? It looks dreadful on Freesat. But
are all the ITV1 regions the same bit rate? I ask this because I'm
sure when flicking through the other regions, some pictures were
better than others. And in case you didn't ...

Connector dilemma
01 Aug 2008 13:43:16 GMT
I'm replacing and re-connectoring most of my TV leads with F
connectors where possible.
The dilemma is what to do at the 'end' where the Humax PVR has an
'ordinary' Co-ax connector (that I used to call a Belling Lee). Is it
best just to put an ordinary coax connector on the end of the cable
and plug that in or ...

should I buy this??
Fri, 01 Aug 2008 12:33:56 +0100
Hi All
I am tempted to buy an LG M118WA monitor which has a tv tuner built in
(doesn't say if it is Freeview or not) and a scart interface. I want to
use it as a computer monitor but it would be really useful to be able to
hook up a spare freeview box I have to the scart so that I am able to
use it as a t ...

www.dishpointer.com - How accurately do the photos fit the maps?
Fri, 01 Aug 2008 09:37:50 +0100
I ask, because as a result of a recent thread, I noticed that a
right-angle on my own home is about 80 degrees on the satellite photo
'map', because it was taken from slightly to one side, and such
inaccuracy if generally applicable would surely make the title site
generally useless?
This picture illustrates th ...
