Viewing distance
Sat, 16 Jan 2010 12:02:51 +0000 (UTC)
From time to time someone moans about picture quality and will get a
reply to the effect "if you are only x feet away what do you expect?"
So could I turn this around and ask: If ones normal viewing distance
is 3 - 3.5 metres - what is the biggest size I ought to be
considering?
TIA

Typical justice. The innocent are found guilty and the guilty go free.
This guy clearly broke the law by causing the rights holders to lose
¡ê200,000 by charging for his service and he walks free and gets to keep
every penny. Whereas Pirate Bay which provided their service for free and
thus haven't broken any co ...

Thanks to Nemo, and especially to you, for all the help with this,

similar to the ones already in place to correct the names and NGRs.
There are one or two points remaining, and I've also added some more

Poor service for vulnerable people

reception. An elderly lady living alone, she said she would prefer to
cancel her contract with the satellite pay TV company but when she had
needed a replacement sat box recently the representative of the said
company had told her that she had to ...

RE TVs and Philips reliability

Found the discussion interesting. 'Which' have rated Philips as poor
reliability for a long time, and they came bottom in the TV
reliability survey. I'm not a fan of the magazine, but reliability
reports come from subscriber feedback and should be accurate.
My neighbour bought a Philips TV a few years ago, i ...
