O/T printer reccomendations

My Canon Bubblejet BJC 7000 has expired. Any opinions on a straightforward
printer that is economical for the price of refills.The Canon refills cost
an arm and a leg. I don't necessarily want to print photographs with it and
I don't want one with a combined scanner.
