Anyone got any advice for a newbie?
I just bought a set of Hippo OS4 Evolution clubs and I'm very happy with
them. I've tried them out and they are a cracking starter set. I like the
way the weight on the bottom of the irons are placed in the optimum area of
the club to help with the swing/shot for that parti ...

I'm back to being a beginner! I used to play golf but stopped when I was 15
after playing since I was 10/11. I am now 27 and want to pick it all back
up.
I live in South Wales, UK and would be interested in practising until I am
good enough and then enter competitions.

Testing the wind
Sun, 16 Sep 2007 01:16:56 -0700
During a recent competition (not at my club) I was told a player had
been given a 2 shot penalty for pulling up some grass and throwing it
to test the wind. Is this valid...if so what rule covers it? I had not
heard of it before and I know several players that do it.

Found this in the 'other place'
It comes with no endorsement from me it it sounds terribly 'swedish' but
looks like it might be fun and attractive to some in this place.
You never know, It might give us the opportunity to play against people
with a handicap of 54 :-) I've registered an interest anyway (does ...

Ok,
I've spoken again to Forest of Arden and they are very keen to do the
right thing by us. I would like to go there as I have heard reports
this year that it is in excellent condition.
We can have the deal which I originally posted, 10 am tee time on the
Monday, and on the Arden course. This should be ...

Bill
This is already sounding like the runaround that Demetri got last year. If
they are doing this at this distance, I wouldn't like our chances when it
gets nearer. Frankly, I think 9.00am is too early. This is supposed to be
a nice relaxing weekend (and I suspect there may be a few late-nighters too!)

Mon, 10 Sep 2007 11:06:41 -0700
I am topping with my driver and 3 wood, everything else appears fine
and my irons are crisp and centered, its really hurting my scores and
p-ing me off as I am barely getting it of the end of the tee, any
ideas to consider before I see my Pro next week?

Hi Bill
Thanks for all the info - especially email two!! Always good to find prices
are lower than you expected. This is to confirm that Chris and I will be
there, business permitting -should be fine, though. So, one double room
sold.
Love & peace
Janet
