movie would not be shown in this PC age. I had the Jolson Story on tape now

station, I thought some of you folks might like to know about it (if you

Went to Geordieland for a few days - about time I had a bit of culture
surrounded by folk who talk 'proper' :-)
It was a dual purpose trip, I wanted to visit the archives to do some
digging and also avail myself of the services of the best tour guides in the

just out of curiosity, I have put an electronic thermometer outside.
Naturally, it fell and the reading I've just taken was 12.9 deg C, which
temperature, if in an office, would require heating to be switched on by law.
