I have read a wide range of Iain Banks and SF Iain M. Banks and think
he is a fantastic author. The last book I read was The Algabraist
which was excellent. His Culture books a briliant also.
However, I'm curious, theres not much mention of him in the US how
well does he do there? Just interesed in this really!

Not bad, really like the Jubal character. Although I could not help
feel that the book was out of date. Like how free love was such a new
thing when this was published. Free love is not really a new concept
anymore.
