I'm no expert on subs having spent my time above the water rather than
below, but when did they get those combined loudspeaker/microphone systems?
Brilliant idea, would have saved a lot of bother.
Had to laugh when the crew got picked up by the Oakland that the very nice

British forces have LOST or had STOLEN (my caps!) 200 weapons over the past
nine years.
When I was in, you couldn't get anything out of the armoury without about
three sigs and two witnesses!
