For those travelling to Buxton via the M1

There are roadworks with a 50 limit and average speed cameras from Junction
25 to Junction 28.
It will be busy from J23a all the way to Junction 29 on a Friday afternoon.
Ideally you should be past Junction 24 before 1pm to avoid the worst of it.

Legal status of backing tracks?

Just wondering if anyone knows how backing tracks that are made to be used
to practice over, noodle to etc..stand in terms of copyright? I've got some
stuff I dl'd that I have no idea who the band was and have come up with some
nice lead work over it.If I recall, some of it may have been guitar player
magazine ...

just a reminder as your packing your gig bags to add in a CD of "your
favourites". Then we can all expand our musical horizons - and boy
have mine been expanded in previous years....

UX-1 UX-2 guitar interfaces with Ableton etc

Hi all,
Do any of you use UX-1/UX-2 Line 6 guitar interfaces with DAWs like
Ableton?
I'm looking in to this as a way forward, and wondered if any people who
had been down this route had advice. The Pod Farm amp sim stuff sounds
like fun, but this kit is not cheap, even on ebay.
Any general thoughts ...

What time should we arrive? we'd like to be there early enough to help out
but not so early that we're bored/in the way etc?
The pub car park - is it big enough for everyone attending or should we park
in the one across the road?
Do we know when the official set list gets released ?

just wondering on driving in and parking up rather than getting the train in.
Is there any reasonably priced parking nearish the Soho area? Or is this a
fool's errand?
