I just got a second hand Digitech XP100 Whammy-wah and have it so I can mix
the wet and dry to get through 2 effects chains and as I have already
pointed out the sounds I can get are the funniest I've heard coming out of a
guitar amp. It really....and Imean REALLY squeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaalllls!!!!

When watching a TV compilation of Johnny Cash performances from the '60's
& other performances from singer /guitarists from that 50's 60's period
(inc. Elvis)
I've often noticed a heavy use of (what looks like) some sort of B7 at the
1st position
on just the lower strings ..higher tend to be held left open.

Getting rid of guitars...

I've got two guitars (an Aria LW-12 dreadnought acoustic and a Vagabond
travel guitar - see <http://stringsmith.com>) which are surplus to
requirements - I don't use the dreadnought as the body shape doesn't
suit me, and I no longer travel enough to justify the Vagabond.
I'd like to release some funds from them ...

Finally tracked down a reverse firebird - an old tobacco sunburst Tokai that
was in a sorry state, but (structurally) is now back to 'careworn' rather
than 'f*cked'........;
However, unusually for a Tokai, the pickups are substandard, being very
harsh and microphonic (I've tried varying the height adjustment ...
