Which microphone for recording guitar (accoustic and amplified)

I am looking for a microphone that I can use in my home studio for recording
accoustic guitara and for recording from amplifiers (I never have the amps
at stage volume when recording).
I have been told that the Shure SM 58 and 57 are the standard?
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

OT Windows update screws with Zone Alarm and disables internet connection

Lost my Internet connection today and after some troubleshooting (suspecting AVG v8
first, after the reports here) realised it was MS security update KB951748 I
downloaded today that caused the problem (good job I don't have auto updates
switched on...)
Apparently there is a conflict with Zone Alarm - Google ...

Telecaster

I just bought another fender telecaster.
TWO things..
1. The new one is a USA standard. I want to fit a humbucker to the neck
position and was wondering which humbucker to fit , or if anyone has
anything nice humbuckerwise for sale?
