I've just bought a Maxtor STM3250820A to upgrade my pace 3100 sky+ box. Does
anyone know if you stil need to turn off write verify and alter the acoustic
management on this HDD?

like many hundreds of thousands of licence fee paying folk in the Uk who
watch freesat channels on a standard (non sky) satellite reciever. i sadly
miss the advertising based C4 lineup including E4 !

Cannot view recorded programes on my planner

Just not letting me view my recordings I highlight a programme in
my planner and then press select with nothing it just shows the info.
It records ok and I can see the red light flashing on the receiver.

Hi all,
Has anyone had serious problems with ordering Sky ADSL?
I signed up in early April, but the order failed due to problems with the
MAC code from my current ISP.
The order went through again with a new MAC code, however since 12/04/07 it
has been sitting at a "Pre-active cancel" at Sky's end due to ...

losing sound on Sky+

I'm losing sound on playback; not all the time just intermittently.
Sometimes pressing play brings the sound back; sometimes it's necessary to
fast wind, then rewind to the "silent bit" produces sound.
Any ideas please?
I have very few items on my personal planner so wondered if a planner
rebuild might be ...

I'm aware a month is needed to cancel, but what of reducing the number of
channels required?
a month for that too, or do i call on the day?

With the recent discussions on the Sky+ charge, I have started to wonder if
I am being charged the right amount.
I have a Sky+ box in one room. When I took out the Sky+ contract, I told
