BAFTA\Oscar time     Sat, 7 Feb 2009 23:08:12 -0800 (PST)
Listen out for that lazy cliche, "The Red Carpet" on five over the next few days. Phil Williams and the Scottish name-dropper Paterson both used it within ten seconds of each other on Breakfast just now. I got up very early to hear an Ulster presenter called Lisa?? three times call the French aircraft carrier ...

Useless managers at the BBC     Sun, 25 Jan 2009 02:12:35 -0800 (PST)
Since my stroke, I've depended evermore on my radio, as I'm pretty much blind. R5 has dropped down the toilet, in my humble opinion. All those traffic slots, which should belong on local radio, all blasted over by loud music (I thought 5 was a talk station...) As soon as they are over the poor bastard listene ...

She' covering the dreadful Derbyshire's absence today. The stink of babies' nappies hasn't gone away tough. How soon should women return to work after childbirth? is today's less than gripping subject. Who is the producer of this predictable rubbish? Mick. ...

Thank Heavens it's Monday. Hopefully Rhod will be on tonight. I get increasingly irritated with the programme from Thursdays through Sundays when Dotun is on duty. I look forward to Rhod's cool, laid back style .. a complete contrast to Dotun's. ...

What did he say?     Thu, 1 Jan 2009 01:36:38 +0100
I was only partly listening to Phil Williams sitting in for Simon Mayo on Tuesday. He had some author on, and suddenly he says sternly to the guest "you should know better than that to use such language as this time", and then he went on to apologize at length. Now it annoys me I didn't hear what the guy ...
