Missing parts on binary files
Sun, 28 Oct 2007 01:44:17 +0100
Someone has just posted "The Glittering Prizes" to
alt.binaries.sounds.radio.bbc.
Unfortunately it appears that about 20% of the parts are missing, using a
newsreader such as Outlook Express (my ISP is Demon, and I have noticed this
often happens).
Is there any free or low-cost way that I can download thes ...

Moral maze/Racial differences
Thu, 25 Oct 2007 09:46:09 +0100
This isn't an "Honest Aryan" rant, honest.
I hadn't heard the furore about this Watson - DNA discoverer - and his
statements, but the first witness on the programme quoted average IIQs
as follows:
Sino-Japanese 106
Europeans 100
Arabs 85
Africans 70.

while for an aerial, have the moon in Taurus and hope there was a
following wind otherwise the signal was too weak to overcome the much
more powerful (and fairly local) Rad ...

Anyone know where I can get old podcasts of BBC shows. I am particularly
looking for News Quiz, but more general if poss.
I have checked iTunes and they don't seem to have this particular show.
On a related note, do you have to have an iTunes account to download the

Anyone know roughly when they discussed James Watson in Any Questions?
Sat, 20 Oct 2007 12:37:45 +0100
I heard a trail saying that they were going to be discussing DNA pioneer
and Nobel prize winner James Watson in yesterday's Any Questions. It
must have been quick cos I only nipped out for a slash for a minute!
Any idea roughly what time it was discussed so I know when to listen later? ...
