during an auction on Sir Terry Wogan's breakfast show for a concert
performed by Katie Melua and Aled Jones.

Save jobs - sack Ross
Sun, 18 Nov 2007 12:09:17 +0000
If the BBC got rid of Ross and his ¡ê6M a year pay packet, they need

Assuming thet are paid ¡ê20K a year, if they get rid of Ross that's 300
people they can employ!
Lets face it, he's a useless tosspot anyway. While they're at it, they
could also sack Evans. I can't imagine anyone ...

Excellent Parky show last week with the interview with Sir John
Dankworth and Dame Cleo Lane, both of them, incredibly, 80 years old
but still very much going strong. Interesting acecdote with Cleo
appearing on the same bill with Frank Sinatra at the Albert Hall some
years back when he was about 70. Strangely I re ...

Music during new interviews
Fri, 09 Nov 2007 01:03:45 +0000
I was listening to a news report on R2 at about 5pm tonight (8th Nov) on
a personal radio with headphones. The report was about the value of the
US Dollar and its effect on American tourists visiting the UK. The BBC2
news person was talking to some financial/tourism punter about this, but
all I could focus on ...

Paige e-mail scandal, will heads roll?
Mon, 29 Oct 2007 17:14:55 -0000
I have noticed that every time E. Paige reads out e-mails from
listeners, she says "pass the e-mails, Malc"(olm Prince, producer) and
there is then a loud noise as if someone is rustling some thick brown
paper--always exactly the same noise--, before Elaine reads out the e-
mails off her teleprompter with no furth ...
