Great to be in Harwich with Johnnie Walker (and Tiggy), Dave Cash, Keith
Skues, Tom Edwards and many more Radio 2 (or ex-Radio 2) and other radio
station jocks. The 450 round trip drive for me was well worth it, the wind
and rain added to the atmosphere as the jocks came ashore.

Can't say the thought of him covering for Ken Bruce's second week off is
very enticing, he's really dreary on Sundays. Thought he was fine on Classic
FM, maybe he will do well and get into the weekday grove!
We are so lucky to have a great commercial free station in Radio 2.

totaly incomprehensible, it is so dificult to follow any story that

Last programme tonight has just started, Johnnie has given us some superb
radio over the past few days. I'm off very early to Harwich tomorrow - I
remember 14 August 1967 so well - its going to be very emotional.
Could be up to force 10 for the closedown!

Well here's a new thread for you - my view is that without the sixties
pirates we would never have had Radio 2.
