BBC publishing *.doc format is slobbish !

I've always considered BBC as one of the best web-sites.
Now I've hit one where the pages are mostly *.doc format.
Perhaps because the 'person' [uncontrolled by central policy]
had *.doc format pushed in his/her face from when they started
using a PC ?
Many of us resent having Micro$hit pushed in out face.

we have our first download-only #1!
The song in question is Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy'.
AIUI, it would also have been #1 on its download sales 2 weeks ago & #3
last week had it been eligible.

For the 2nd week in a row, we've had a climber to #1 - when was the last
time that happened, I wonder?
Unfortunately that climber was Ne-Yo, rather than Pink as I hoped. She
has to settle for #4*.
The highest genuine NE was Embrace, with (their IMO fairly mediocre)
'Nature's Law' at #2.

pre-release downloads! Orson complete a 3 week climb to #1, albeit on a
dreadfully low sales figure.
It becomes the second single to climb to #1 this year, with others
certain, due to the new download inclusion rules.

Official Charts Company - adding insult to injury

Not content with excluding songs over 1 year old, and ones less than
that if they are deleted (even if still selling steadily on download),
they've now cut the size of the singles chart. :(
IMO their mandate should simply be to reflect what is actually selling,
