The Right Perspective: Jail the Traitors
24 Apr 2006 18:47:04 -0700
Frank thanks Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue for singning a sweeping
immigration bill into law. Frank argues that the law should not only
apply to employees and business owners, but to politicians as well, and
proposes a legal limit on the amount of wealth politicans have so that
they are less corrupt and more res ...

I would just like to start a discussion on this `little man`
I`m interested in Radio 1 listeners thoughts on this bigoted (1),
unknowledgable (2), little man.
I, for one, do think he is suitable for the position he fills (barely)
Outside of The A Team, Rocky and possibly Queen, his knowledge of
`popular c ...

Gnarls Barkley holds off Rihanna's challenge to remain at #1 for a 4th
week.
As is becoming the pattern, most of the 'new' entries are in fact
singles which charted the previous week on download sales only.
Top 10 : Rihanna(c) #2, Infernal(c) #4, Fall Out Boy(c) #8

US singles chart
Fri, 21 Apr 2006 06:56:04 GMT
It looks as if ever-increasing download sales are finally beginning to
break the urban/airplay dominance, especially in the US singles chart,
with 'only' 5 of this week's top 10 being of that genre.
To me, it's almost inconceivable how anyone could run a chart largely
based on what radio stations tell peopl ...

So, no change at #1, despite Shayne Ward's best (or worst, depending on
your pov) efforts.
Rihanna makes an impressive debut at #5 on download sales alone, and
must be a possibility to shift Gnarls next week. Nothing else new in the
top 10 though.
Top 20 : Hard-Fi #13(c), Trina #15(c), ...

take over as the years best-selling single so far, from Notorious BIG
The Mary J Blige/U2 combo climb to #2, making this her biggest hit.

BBC publishing *.doc format is slobbish !
Fri, 07 Apr 2006 08:28:35 -0500
I've always considered BBC as one of the best web-sites.
Now I've hit one where the pages are mostly *.doc format.
Perhaps because the 'person' [uncontrolled by central policy]
had *.doc format pushed in his/her face from when they started
using a PC ?
Many of us resent having Micro$hit pushed in out face.

They'll be missed! I know it's been said before, but still...

Just 4 weeks after pre-release downloads became eligible for the chart,
we have our first download-only #1!
The song in question is Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy'.
AIUI, it would also have been #1 on its download sales 2 weeks ago & #3
last week had it been eligible.
Other NE's : Morrissey #3, ...
