OT - More on laundry

I bought some cotton t-shirts and linen trousers in M&S at the
weekend. The care label on all the garments has the standard symbol
for a 40 degree wash, and the following message (their caps and
grammar):
THINK CLIMATE -
RECOMMEND
WASH AT 30[symbol for degrees]C
Does this mean that there is no standard sym ...
