Ask EU - Windows search playing sillybu**ers
Tue, 17 Nov 2009 22:01:02 GMT
The search on my laptop at school has been behaving strangely. If I
put in the name of a file, it presents me with every file in that
directory. If I add some words that are in that file (in my job, as
likely as not it's song words) it still can't find the one I want, but
finds a few others that contain something ...

Archers books
Tue, 17 Nov 2009 09:19:23 -0000
Is there a definitive list anywhere of all the books that have come out over
the years about TA? I keep picking up odd ones in charity shops and car boot
sales. I've got quite a few by now, and have decided it's time to put them
all together in one place, rather than scattered about the house in a random
fashi ...

Ask EU - AVG
Tue, 17 Nov 2009 08:36:27 -0000
I say, chaps.
I upgraded to AVG Free 9.0 yesterday with very little trouble. However, I
ticked for the recommended Maximising Scan option, and ever since a file
called avgchsvx.exe has been running, making my HD chuter away constantly,
and slowing things down a bit (although not much). I've had a google and ...

Moonlighting Archers
Tue, 17 Nov 2009 08:56:59 +0100
I like what I've heard of Keith Floyd's autobiography, "Stirred But Not
Shaken". I like Oliver Sterling's voice. I *cannot* listen to Michael
Cochrane reading "Book of the Week" - it has the same effect on me as
Neil Nunes on Continuity, but is worse as it goes on much longer :-) AIAOU?
