Sun, 8 Nov 2009 18:39:45 -0000
I heard a version of Handel's 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba' today which
really made me smile. I thought it would appeal to a lot of umrats.

Second First Day of Eleventh Month
Sun, 8 Nov 2009 13:06:12 +0000 (UTC)

Ask Umrats - rent to buy
Sat, 07 Nov 2009 21:13:42 +0000
Someone on an ex-pat site just suggested this. For a short moment it
sounded like a good idea and then I saw drawbacks and thought it risky
and decided I probably didn't want the hassle. I wanted to sell and be
done with it.
What do umrats think? It's apparently new in the UK.

Archers update SPOILER w/c 8/11
Sat, 07 Nov 2009 15:33:48 +0000
The Archers update, probably by Susan Jeffreys, from the Daily Mail's
Weekend magazine:
If you'd told Lilian a few months ago that she'd be on a Costa Rica
getaway with Matt, she'd have seen herself sunbathing on a white beach,
slurping down a coffee-based cocktail. Instead, she's worn to a frazzle
