RT Family Tree
Wed, 11 Nov 2009 12:37:53 -0000
On page 120/121 in next week's RT there is a family tree for the Archer
clan. It starts with Dan's parents and goes down to the latest additions
(Kate's). The layout is somewhat eccentric with Christine's marriages cocked
up (!) at an angle. There are photographs of some people who pretend to be
members of the ...

Cheesy sound effects
Wed, 11 Nov 2009 02:47:00 -0800 (PST)
The much-loved "squeal of tyres" sound effect is becoming a bit
ridiculous, isn't it? Ed and Moike are bouncing along what is
described as a "track", rarely used, across estate land. It may just
conceivably be metalled, though it doesn't seem likely, but by the

OT: Royal MInt
Wed, 11 Nov 2009 07:43:12 -0000
I had a flier from the Royal Mint pushed through the door giving some
suggestions for Christmas gifts. Most of these are coins of course, but
there are many medals.
One set of medals celebrate wild animals and among those is one for the
orang-utang (sic). Nowhere on this medal does the word "ook" appear. Can' ...

OT - Windows Spider Game
Tue, 10 Nov 2009 11:21:31 -0800 (PST)
I know it is sad, but working with just two suits, what is the lowest
number of moves needed to get all the cards out? So far I have managed
112, but nothing lower. Anyone beat that?

Jo Caulfield
10 Nov 2009 19:16:05 GMT
My memory of Jo Caulfield's previous series were that they were not quite
as bad as that Arthur Strong thing. Tonight's was very good, IMO, with
several laugh out loud moments. Was I wrong all this time? Or has the
generally disappointing nature of 6:30 Tues-Thurs in recent years softened
me up?
