Recommendations needed - control iPod through home cinema or hifi system?

Hi
I'm in the process of kitting out my living room - I have the LCD tv
up on the wall, decent dvd player, etc. The next step is get a decent
music/home cinema system in place. My main requirement is that
whatever I buy, works with my iPod as that's what I listen to the most

Hi all,
I thought as a relative newbie this might be a good place to get some
advice!
I need a centre speaker to complement my Pioneer plasma and amp. It needs to
be (a) wall mountable (b) black (c) vaguely affordable (less than ¡ê200).

Seperate speaker systems with plasma/lcd TVs

With CRT TV sets we have to buy special shielded magnet loud speakers
especialy the center one.
Can we with plasma/lcd go back to useing good normal hi-fi speakers?

recommendations for small/cheap speaker-only packages?

Moving house and downsizing to a small living room. SWMBO has said the big
speakers need to go, so I'm looking for a package of very small speakers +
smallish active sub to use with my existing DD/DTS Receiver.
Something the size/price of a Samsung one I saw in Dixons (X30R?) would be
